Air-Uni Number Plate - new production using the original mold from 1984. The "Uni 2" decal is an exact reproduction except it has a 2012 copyright in tiny letters in the lower right corner. These are made with permission from Roger Berg, the founder and owner of Uni since 1978.
Size: 8 3/4" tall and 15" wide (down tube velcro is spaced a little over 8 1/2" and is about 3 1/2" lower than the upper velcro).
Color: RED (the large center white portion of the decal is pre-cut and can be removed if you prefer your numbers on a red background)
These were designed in 1981 with the help of Brent Patterson for the famous "Patterson Plate" that helped rocket Uni and Brent to BMX fame. The original mold had holes for zip ties but around 1983 or early 1984 the mold was modified to use velcro straps and that is the mold these are made from. The material used has a new brighter dye and molds out thinner than the old plates. These are also made in the same facility in Oregon that also produces the modern Uni seats and the grips.
